Kris Howald
Triage Manager
Kris Howald is an LPN with more than 10 years of nursing experience, working in various specialties. She worked three years with Cleveland Clinic in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Orthopedics; four years with CHI in General and Colorectal Surgery; two years in pediatrics; several years working in home health, long-term care, skilled nursing, and assisted living facilities; as well as working as a wound care nurse. She holds certifications for IV, as an orthopedic technician and sacral nerve stimulation programming.
Kris is patient-centered, detail-oriented and focuses on communication with a strong desire to advocate for all patients. Prior to nursing, Kris worked in special education at the elementary and junior high school levels with autistic and special needs children. She credits this experience while working with children as the inspiration to return to school and become a nurse.
Kris is a proud military spouse and grew up as a military child, living in many states and currently stationed at Fort Carson. She and her husband have four daughters, but only two remain at home. Outside of work, Kris enjoys reading, crafting and travelling. She and her family are avid animal-lovers and enjoy their two dogs, one cat and two guinea pigs.
