Abayneh Woldekidane, MD

Dr. Abayneh Woldekidane graduated from Jimma University located in the Oromia region of Ethiopia in 1997 where he received his MD as a general practitioner. In 2001, he moved to the United States and, in 2005, he joined the residency program at Jersey Shore Medical Center in New Jersey. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 2008. His first practice was working as a hospitalist at Sound Inpatient Physicians Group, later to Centura Health, until 2016. He has been working with Summit Medical Consultants since 2017.

Dr. Woldekidane has a passion to care for others and for vulnerable people. He loves helping others and enjoys the experience of interacting with people of different backgrounds. His advice to his patients is to focus on their health and invest in a healthy diet and exercise to avoid future catastrophic financial burden and physical impairment.

Dr. Woldkidane was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and came to the United States in 2001 after winning a diversity Visa lottery with his wife. He moved to New Jersey in 2005 and moved back to Colorado in 2008. He currently resides in Aurora with his wife and three children. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his children and summer sports, especially soccer with his youngest son.
