Apana Sharma, FNP

Apana Sharma, DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for geriatric medicine. She earned her BSN from South Dakota State University in 2013 and spent the next decade practicing as an acute care bedside nurse before earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University in 2024. Originally from Nepal, Apana brings empathy, compassion, and a broad perspective to her practice. She especially enjoys caring for older adults and hopes to help bridge gaps in transitions of care for this population. Her passion for medicine is rooted in lifelong learning and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives each day. Outside of work, Apana enjoys life with her high school sweetheart, their three children, and their dog, who keep life fun and busy. She enjoys hiking, exploring Colorado, and skiing in the mountains during winter.
