James Archuleta, FNP

Dr. James Saul Archuleta is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, healthcare leader, and nursing educator with more than 30 years of healthcare experience spanning emergency medical services, nursing, advanced practice, clinical operations, and higher education.

He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus in Population Health from Colorado State University Pueblo and has been board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2011. His career began as a paramedic and flight paramedic before transitioning to nursing, where he worked in emergency and trauma care, medical oncology, and nursing supervision. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, he has practiced in family medicine, urgent care, and hospice and currently serves in clinical operations leadership while providing direct patient care.

Dr. Archuleta also serves as adjunct graduate nursing faculty and a clinical preceptor and enjoys lecturing graduate students on advanced nursing practice.

Outside of healthcare, James enjoys family time, running, CrossFit and functional fitness, golf, and outdoor activities. He remains actively connected to the Southern Colorado community.
