Julie Girouard, NP, AGCP-C
Julia Girouard is a native of Denver, and her son is a rare 4th generation native of Colorado. Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Trinity University in Texas where she later became an ER nurse and for 14 years at a level one trauma center. After receiving her Masters of Nursing at University of Texas at Austin and earning her Adult and Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Certification, she spent over a year in both Haiti and the Ivory Coast with Doctors Without Borders providing emergency healthcare for nationals in politically unstable countries.
She has extensive experience providing emergency and humanitarian care for both socially underserved populations domestically as well native and refugee populations at war abroad. When she returned from Africa, she changed the focus of her care to geriatric populations as an internal medicine provider back home in Colorado where she’s been for 10 years.
When Julie isn’t at work, she enjoys spending time brewing beer with her beau and watching her son grow taller in the Colorado sunshine.
