Growing up, Kyla lived with her grandparents for several years and accompanied them to many doctor appointments and hospitalizations. She witnessed firsthand the impact healthcare professionals have on their patients and their families, and knew she wanted to be a part of healthcare. She loves practicing medicine because every day is different and there’s always something new to learn or teach.
Kyla has lived in Colorado since 1989 and currently resides in Aurora with her three children, one cat, and one dog. When she’s not working she enjoys snowboarding, crafting and home improvement projects, gardening, and all sports. A fun fact about Kyla is that she is from a very small town where the school mascot came in second place for the most unusual mascot in America.
